We had the best honeymoon in the world!!! We Wanted to stay in Gram Parson’s haunted room #8 at the Joshua Tree inn its in Southern California. We stopped in Mesquite and stayed in the Oasis (another great band) and played there then drove onto California where we saw the beautiful Joshua trees.. They are so big! We relaxed in the room and read all the books and info they had in the room about Gram, (things we didn’t already know) we set our tape recorder to see if we could hear any “ghosts” and we heard boots walking in one door and out the other…and then we noticed Cody’s watch was on backwards, and there was a mirror in the room that wouldn’t stop moving. There was a very cool shrine right outside the door for Gram, made by all his fans, we contributed a cigar. There was also an autograph book inside the room that had some famous people, like the cast of ‘Grand Theft Parsons’ Dwight Yoakam, Keith Richards, George Strait, his daughter Polly Parsons, and so so many more people, allot of fans.. like us
Then on the way home we stopped at the Calico Ghost town, and that was way cool too! It was so nice the long relaxing road trip and the time alone, it was just so…Perfect.
